Winter’s Delight

A couple of weeks ago, the first snow of the season greeted the mid-Hudson Valley, and everything slowed down. One day of school closure turned into two to a child’s delight! We covered a lot of ground on those days utilizing the outdoors as much as possible before the inevitable melting. We went with friends on a hike in drifting snow pulling along our sleds on a trail leading to a steep hill in the field. We went cross country skiing carving our own tracks. My son went sledding in front of our home countless times, and at the end of the weekend, we went skiing at our local ski mountain. True to my photography, I did bring my Fujifilm X-T3 with a 35mm Fujinon lens attached to a few of these outings, capturing the magic of freshly fallen snow. I am sharing some of them here.
